By purchasing or commissioning from Mountfurstudios, you agree to these terms.
ORDERING REQUIREMENTS
- We will not work with individuals under the age of 18.
- All items are handmade, one-of-a-kind art pieces and may contain minor imperfections or variation.
- Commissions require a completed form and/or messages containing all requested info. Missing info may delay your project.
- Clients must provide an up-to-date, clear, high-resolution reference. We are not responsible for inaccuracies caused by unclear/outdated references.
- Fullsuits may require a duct tape dummy (DTD).
- We may request your full legal name and shipping address for invoicing and shipping.
COMMUNICATION & APPROVALS
- Communication must be polite and timely.
- We provide updates as needed for approvals and key milestones (daily updates are not expected).
- Approvals may be requested at stages such as measurements/DTD review, foam base, markings/furring layout, and final detailing.
- If we request required info/approval and do not receive a response within 14 days, your project may be paused until you respond.
OUR RIGHTS
- We may refuse or terminate service for harassment, threats, discrimination, public shaming, stalking, or repeated bad-faith behavior.
- We may interpret your design in our style for craftsmanship/fit (ex: slight marking adjustments for better wrap), while keeping it recognizable and consistent with your approved reference.
- We may update these terms; the version in effect at purchase applies to that order.
YOUR RIGHTS
- You may request WIP photos and reasonable adjustments during production (see “DESIGN CHANGES”).
- You may cancel a commission, but refunds depend on progress and the “REFUNDS” section.
PAYMENT
- Currency: USD
- Premades: paid in full before shipping (standard checkout).
- A 30% deposit is required after acceptance.
- The remaining 70% balance is due before shipping.
- Payment plans may be discussed, but are not guaranteed and are offered only at our discretion.
DESIGN CHANGES
- We want you to love your suit and will work with you, but changes must be fair and clear.
- Minor changes may be included if feasible and requested early.
- Major changes after approvals or after materials are purchased may require additional fees (new materials and/or extra labor).
- If the change is needed because of our mistake, we will fix it.
MEASUREMENTS & FIT
- You are responsible for accurate measurements and/or a properly made DTD when requested.
- Fit issues caused by incorrect measurements/DTD are not eligible for free fixes and may require additional labor + shipping costs.
- If a fit issue is clearly caused by our construction error, we will work with you to correct it.
REFUNDS
- There is no refund on the initial 30% deposit once the materials have been purchased.
- Once the costume is completed, there is no refund option.
- If the commission is cancelled during production, any refund will vary based on progress/time invested and costs incurred.
- If your project is 90%–100% complete, you are not eligible for a refund.
- Refunds (if applicable) are issued only to the original payment method.
NONRESPONSE / TIMELINES
- If we do not receive any communication for 30 days, the commission may be considered abandoned.
- If abandoned, we may keep payments made to cover time/materials and may complete/alter/sell the work as a premade.
- We generally do not accept hard deadlines. We will give you our best estimate.
- Timelines may shift due to material availability, customer response time, illness/emergency, shipping delays, or events outside reasonable control.
SHIPPING
- Shipping is separate from the item price so you can choose available options.
- You are responsible for entering a correct shipping address. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal, or failure to pick up, you must pay reshipping costs.
- Carrier delays are outside our control, but we will provide tracking and reasonable help with claims.
- Insurance: if your selected shipping option includes insurance, that coverage applies. If optional, we strongly recommend it for high-value items.
- International buyers are responsible for customs fees, taxes, duties, and import charges.
REPAIRS / WARRANTY
- 6-month warranty from delivery date to cover repair costs.
- Warranty repairs are no labor cost; client pays shipping both ways unless otherwise agreed.
- If a repair needs substantial replacement materials, a materials fee may apply (quoted first).
- Not covered: rough use, improper care/storage, heat/chemical damage, pet damage, or customer/third-party modifications.
- After 6 months, repairs may be available as a paid service.
- Please send items clean for repair; we may pause/decline work if returned unsanitary.
DISCLAIMERS
- We provide care/cleaning guidance with your suit and/or on our care page. You agree to follow those instructions for proper care.
- Colors may appear different due to lighting, camera settings, and monitor/phone display differences. Minor color variation is not considered a defect.
- Fursuits can reduce visibility and increase heat/physical strain. You are responsible for safe use, breaks, hydration, and appropriate environments.
- We may post WIP and finished photos/videos we take for portfolio/marketing unless otherwise discussed beforehand.
- If you purchase through Etsy, Etsy policies also apply where relevant. These Terms also apply to purchases through our future website and direct invoices.
